The first thing I want to say is that this post is not about YOU! I am not condemning you if you do participate in Halloween activities! I am merely sharing our reasons why WE do not participate in Halloween activities.

As crazy as it sounds, our family likes to go camping in fall, after harvest is over. This year harvest lasted longer than usual and we went on our fall camping trip in mid-October! I packed the snowsuits, but thankfully we didn't need them, although it did get pretty cold!
This November Planning Pack for Children is the first in a series of 12 packs that will be coming out over the next year from Multi-Tasking Mom. It is geared for grades K-5, but can be adapted for younger and older as needed. It has a Thanksgiving theme, which worked out nicely for me to review it in October, since our Canadian Thanksgiving is a month earlier than Thanksgiving in the United States, which is where this Planning Pack is published :)
My favourite printable in this pack is the Prayer List. We have a family prayer list, which everyone in our home contributes to, but when I gave the Prayer List to Princess, she was thrilled at the idea of having her own prayer list! I wish I had thought to let her make her own prayer list sooner! Today I am over at Hip Homeschool Moms, sharing about Autumn on the Farm. Make sure you check it out at http://www.hiphomeschoolmoms.com/2013/10/autumn-fun-on-the-farm/.
Thanks! Don't forget that I will be taking a break for a few days, but I will be back soon! Happy Thanksgiving from Canada! |
