The other videos that they have to pay scoops or gold for include all sorts of things, from a small clip from a movie or show, like My Little Ponies, or a complex set of dominoes. My children especially like the animal ones, like the video about some noisy kittens waiting to get fed. The kids giggle and giggle as they listen to the constant meowing and watch the kittens climbing up their people's legs, crawling over each other and jumping up to get at the food.
I usually try to limit their computer time and one day I told Little Man that his computer time was up. I told him to finish what he was doing and get off the computer. He begged me to let him keep going because he was getting close to getting his gold badge and he really badly wanted his gold badge. I agreed to let him have a little more time. How could I say no? He was begging me to let him do more math! His reply was, "You're the best mom ever! Especially when you let me get my gold badge!"
Until a few months ago my kids did very little on the computer, other than Princess doing her Teaching Textbooks and some typing practice. Now that we have discovered online learning I am thankful for programs like these that give my children a safe way to be online.
Do you use any online learning programs? Which programs have you tried?
