Raccoons and Kittens
Princess came running in the house and excitedly told us that there were five racoons on the roof of our barn. I grabbed my camera and followed her out, but by the time I got there all I saw was the back end of a raccoon disappearing around the end of the barn hay loft. A couple of days later there were three young raccoons in my garden! We were able to get close enough to hear the adorable sounds they were making! It was a good chance to talk about what we know about raccoons and the importance of not touching wild animals, no matter how cute they look or how tame they might act.
