We chose the playdough version because I had visions of using cornstarch and having a wacky sack break... Not a pretty picture! Plus, if the wacky sack does break, you still have playdough to play with :) The kids also had a lot of fun playing with the playdough in the process of making the wacky sacks! (Playing with playdough is great for strengthening those fine motor skills!)
1 Cup Flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup water
food coloring
After the wacky sacks were filled and tied shut, we drew funny faces on them with permanent marker. Unfortunately we found out that permanent marker is not permanent when people start smooshing the wacky sacks in their hands... The next time we made them we made some without faces and warned people that the marker will come off.
The best part was watching people at the craft sales! Once someone picked up one of those wacky sacks, they could not put them down! They are completely addictive! Every time we have taken them to a craft sale we have sold them all! They are so much fun to play with!
